Supply Path Optimization (SPO)

Technical definition

The process of analyzing and optimizing programmatic supply paths to reduce redundancy, improve transparency, and maximize cost efficiency in the bid stream.

The ADLINGO translation

Cutting the number of paths between your DSP and the publisher down to the ones that are actually worth using. Every redundant hop takes a fee. Every opaque intermediary adds fraud risk. SPO maps your spend across supply paths, identifies where the same impression is being duplicated across SSPs, and redirects budget toward paths where the publisher relationship is direct and the fees are disclosed. Most programmatic buyers have never done a formal SPO audit. Most are overpaying as a result.
